In September 2021, the Philadelphia Museum of Art continued its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access (DEIA) by engaging in strategic discussions with various stakeholders to align the museum’s work with the priorities set forth in its DEIA Statement of Principles. Using an equity audit methodology, the Office of DEIA solicited leaders from across museum divisions to document the institution’s progress towards inclusive excellence and institutional equity. The following DEIA Action plan shares that progress publicly and provides a roadmap of our work moving forward.
