Let your creativity soar at the Philadelphia Museum of Art! Explore a wide range of interactive programs designed for families with children ages 3–12. From large scale Special Family Events to intimate gallery tours, families can discover the world of art together.

Parents and caregivers with babes in tow are always welcome in our galleries, and we're making it a bit easier for you with our stroller tours. If the baby fusses don't fret---you'll be in good company.

Family Festivals

Family Festivals showcase local and nationally recognized performance groups for an experience that combines the magic of the visual and performing arts. The Balcony Studio features art projects inspired by artwork in the Museum's collections.

Peace, Love & Collab

Come together at the Perelman Building: Take part in a collaborative creation inspired by the psychedelic 1960s, discover artist Jean Shin’s community-based installations, and then watch teamwork in action with improv group StoryUP!

Children’s Art Classes

Young artists get to know the Museum inside and out during these award-winning classes.

The spring session runs April 17 through May 19. Registration for returning students begins March 6; registration for new students begins March 20.

How to Register
Register by phone (215-235-7469) or at any Visitor Services Desk. A nonrefundable service charge for each space reserved is added to phone orders ($3.50; $2.50 member). Preregistration is required, and fees are nonrefundable unless the Museum cancels the class. Class size is limited. Tuition assistance available upon request.

Masterpieces emerge when kids explore the galleries and get creative in the studios.

Registration for returning students begins March 6; registration for new students begins March 20. Call 215-235-SHOW to register. Confirmation by email 2 weeks before start of class.

Class size is limited. Preregistration required. Fees are nonrefundable unless the Museum cancels the class. Children in Ages 3–5 classes must be accompanied by an adult (who attends free) for the gallery visit portion of the class. Children must be toilet trained.
